• Check that the batteries are inserted with the correct polarity


• Carry out the Battery Test


• Check that NO RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES are being used.
  Operation with rechargeable batteries is not intended, as specified in the On-Line Instruction Manual


• Check whether the Remote Control is transmitting infrared signals (it may be faulty)

• Carry out the Battery Test


• Ensure that the remote control is pointing towards the appliance with no obstacles in the way


• Try resetting the remote control (it may have jammed):
  Remove the batteries from the Meliconi remote control, press the ON/OFF button 2 times and insert the batteries again.
  Carry out the Battery Test, if necessary replace them with 2 NEW batteries


• Try resetting the TV/device (it may have locked up):
  Unplug the TV/device from the power outlet and leave it unplugged for 10 minutes.
  Reconnect the device and switch it on again.
  Check whether the remote control is working again.


• Try resetting the remote control to the factory settings, following the RESET THE REMOTE CONTROL procedure in the On-Line Instruction Manual, and activate it again


• Check whether the remote control transmits infrared signals (it may have broken down, e.g. due to a fall)

Some functions can be controlled (e.g. Power, Volume, Programmes) but other functions are not activated by pressing the corresponding button (e.g. LIST, GUIDE):


• Check that the function you wish to reproduce on the Meliconi remote control is also present on the original remote control. If this is not the case, the Meliconi remote control cannot perform functions not covered by the device


• Sometimes some functions of the original remote control are not directly present on the keypad of the Meliconi remote control.
  To have them available operate as described in the "BUTTONS AND FUNCTIONS" chapter fo the On-Line Instruction Manual

The human eye cannot detect infrared signals.

Use a camera (even a mobile phone camera) for this procedure.

Point at the infrared LED on the tip of the Meliconi remote control (not the LEDs on the front) and press and hold the '5' button.

If through the camera you see the LED light up with short white/blue flashes, this means that the remote control is working and emitting infrared signals.

Press and hold down the '5' button on the Meliconi remote control.

If the indicator light on the remote control does not light up, or is 'flickering', the batteries are flat.

Replace BOTH batteries with 2 new Alkaline batteries.

DO NOT USE RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES.

To RESTORE the original function, reset the activation code on the Meliconi remote control.

Sometimes you want to prevent certain functions of the TV/device from being activated.

For example, if you leave the remote control in the hands of children or elderly people, they may inadvertently activate unwanted functions and no longer be able to restore normal viewing.

To avoid this situation, in addition to the full original remote control, you can use a Meliconi remote control set to "mute" one or more buttons (e.g. MENU, Source Selection, etc.), making sure they do not transmit. How to delete a function on a button on the Meliconi remote control
